STAR PHOTO CALENDAR

Star Photo Calendar ***********************

My upline, Angela Tutton, showed us how to make this Star Photo Calendar at our January Unit Meeting. She originally saw this cute idea on Pinterest and had to give it a try. It took her a while to create the calendar on MS Publisher, but I think it turned out beautiful. Thank you Angela, we loved the project!

Directions:
Take 3 6"x 6" pieces of cardstock and score them every 3 inches
Accordion fold the pieces
Place all three pieces in front of you so they resemble three "M's" and glue together like this  .
MMM
The ribbon is secured under the layers of cardstock that are on the front and back.  Decorate front and back as shown.
Print the calendar on Backround and texture papers.  I used a variety of retired papers, a great way to use up older papers. Place calendars on inside so months follow one another. You can find the link to the  CALENDAR. here.
I have not attached pictures as yet, but they will adhere directly above the calendars on the pages.

WHOOO"S YOUR VALENTINE TREAT CONTAINERS

I had two lovely young ladies help me make the Whooo's Your Valentine Treat  Containers.  Time is running out, so don't miss out on this great Constant Campaign promo.

TREAT CONTAINERS

This month at our unit meeting we brought a decorated
Treat Holder using any new product.

.  Here is the project I did.  I used the Cricut Art Philosopy cartridge to cut the fold over flap at 4".  Next I cut the patterned piece using CTMH's NEW Chantilly papers ( X7163B) at 3 1/2", then cut in half.  I also used the Silver Shimmer Trim ( Z1799).  The scallop circle was cut with the CTMH 2" Scallop Circle Punch.  The circle was cut on the Cricut at 1 1/2".  The stamp is from the Whooo's Your Valentine Constant Campaign (CC1022) that is good through the end of this month or until quanities are gone.

See earlier post for more information on this campaign.

Here are some of the other swap Treat Containers from our unit.

SLIPPER

I wanted to share with you the beautiful slipper one of the members of our unit made recently.  Isn't it just spectacular?  I can't remember who did it, but she gave me permission to post this.
I will get her name at our meeting next week so
 I can give her credit.
It was cut on the Artiste Cricut cartridge.
More to follow on how she made this.

PIE WEDGE TREAT CONTAINER

My sister-in-law was here over Christmas
and wanted to learn how to use her new Cricut she got for Christmas along with the new Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridges.  We had a lot of fun
 creating new items
 and learning
all of the features on her Cricut.

The box was created using the
Close to My Heart's Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

The flowers were made using the
Close to My Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

We also used a stamp on the side and some of the
Sparkles Flourishes ( Z1708) on the top.  We folded the bottom and top, taped, then sponged some ink on the edges.  These are so quick to make and would be beautiful when several are
put together in a circle for a bridal shower.

LA BELLA VIE CARD

This card was created using the papers and stamp set from Close to My Heart's  La Belle Vie Workshop on the Go (G1048).

It is actually a Valentine Invitation to a dance
I'm helping to put on with my sorority
 chapter  for Valentine's Day.
The hearts and tower were all cut on the
Art Philosopy Cricut Cartridge according to
the directions on the My Acrylix Stamp Set carrier sheet.
For those of you that may not be familiar with
the CTMH Cricut Cartridges, each image that is circled in red on the My Acrylix carrier sheet ( the sheet that the My Acrylix pieces come on when you purchase them) all have  corresponding shapes that can be cut on the cartridge.
 Such a deal!
It makes everything  much easier with so much less cutting by hand.
