"IT'S A CUPCAKE AFFAIR"

I recently chaired a Beta Sigma Phi event for
several young ladies called "A Cupcake Affair" .
I thought I would share the invitation and paper cupcakes each girl received.

Save the Date card, a paper cupcake, and an invitation are shown here.  The papers used are now discontinued.  They were from the Emporium Collection.  Thanks to my sorority sisters in Beta Zeta Master for all their help and in making the paper cupcakes.

One girl was crowned Princess, and two were the royalty court.  We had more than 20 Legacies in attendance.  They all had a great time. It is always fun to see all of these young ladies dressed in their fancy dresses and having so much fun.
We had a terrific family that entertained us, called the "C Strings".  They played the fiddle, and guitar and ranged in age from 15 down to 4.
Of course we served cupcakes!

Enjoy!

VICTORY " WORKSHOP ON THE GO"

These three 2 page layouts are the layouts we did at our "Victory Workshop on the Go" class this month.

The guide that comes with the Workshop on the go walks you through each step as you create this beautiful layout designed by Jeanette Lynton.  The layout above is the alternate layout.

I haven't added my pictures yet as my class likes to have the layouts plain so they can picture their own pictures.  I'm not sure which pictures I'll use as my choices are many.  I will add them soon, and also title it at that time.  This is the featured layout.
This is a bonus layout I give to my club members.  It is from the book " Magic" and the layout is called Mystify - left and right.  By adding the "Victory My Stickease Adhesive Assortment" it becomes a fast and easy layout.

MAY'S UNIT MEETING CARD SWAP

As you can tell, this month's unit meeting swap theme was "Baby".  It is always interesting to see what everyone does.
Is there a baby in your future?  If so, here are some great ideas!

Thanks to our wonderful team! Thanks to Linda, Joyce, Angela, Mina, Brandee, Anna. I'm missing someone---I'll add you as soon as I remember!

FLORENTINE MINI CARDS

We made these mini cards at our Unit meeting a couple months ago.  I just love minis, don't you?
They are so simple and fast, but the best part is you can use all those left over scraps.  We used the Pemberly Paper Packet (X7148) and Card Word Puzzle (C1494). The tag features the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and co-ordinating My Acrylix Stamp Set.  Now I'm off to make more of these minis.  I'll post them later.

 Happy Crafting!

ART PHILOSOPHY & CRICUT

Hi!  Today we played with our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  We learned about all the buttons and their functions, directions of cuts, and sizing.  They even had a homework card, and they passed!  If you live in the Puget Sound area of Washington state and you are interested in joining our "Use It Up Class", just email me at sesau@wavecable.com to reserve your place as I have limited space for this class.  This class is FREE and you can bring any papers, CTMH or not, to create your projects.  Watch for the next class date in June and supply list of what to bring.
We will be making boxes.
Happy Crafting!

I ran across this Mini Album I made awhile back, and just enjoyed looking at it again and remembering the nature walk my two guys took that beautiful day.  It was so much fun to make.  I thought I'd share it with you.

1/2 tsp. baking powder                       1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda                            6 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon                   1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
 3 large eggs
 1 cup sugar
 2/3 cup pumpkin
 1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt in a bowl.
Beat eggs and sugar until thick, add pumpkin, then stir in  flour mixture.
Grease a 15"x10" jelly roll pan, line with wax paper before adding batter.
Bake at 375* for 15 min.
Sprinkle a thin towel with enough  powdered sugar so the cake won't stick.
Immediately loosen cake and turn cake onto prepared towel. Carefully
peel off paper.  Roll up cake and
towel together.  Cool on rack for 15 min.
Prepare filling.  Carefully unroll cake.  Spread with cream cheese mixture.
Reroll cake.  Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hr.  Sprinkle with
sugar powdered before serving, if desired.

One of my clients, Joan Speese, brought this dessert to our last card class.
It was so delicious I wanted to share it with you.
Enjoy!
