I just love this saying by Maya Angelou, so when Close to My Heart came out with the beautiful Scrapbook Sentiments - Poets Stamp Set (C1539), I just had to create a card with it.
I hope you like it also.

Here are a few of the cards we made at our
 April "Use It Up" Club.
There are no rules here.
You can be any papers, ribbons or stamp sets.
We are just friends coming together to have
 some creative time.
Joan Speece designed these cards.
The butterflies can be easily cut with the
 CTMH  Cricut cartridge, then attached
 at the center with glue.
When dry, just bend the wings up.
 Every card was different.

Give it a try!

These layouts are from my "April Workshop on the Go".
The first two are from the Workshop Guide and
the last one is my bonus layout.
At our class we make the two 2-Page Layouts
designed by Close to My Heart, and then I add
one more 2-Page Layout as a bonus.

Layout #1

Layout " 2

I actually used the
 Chantilly Compliments Dimensional Elements
Chipboard Pieces on these two layouts.

Layout #3

These same Chipboard Elements were used on this layout.
I actually saw this layout from another CTMH Consultant,
but cannot find the blog I saw it on.
I am currently looking for the person's name so
I can give her credit. I will post it as soon as I find it.

I have fallen in love with these papers.
They are so beautiful to work with.

Do you have the Cricut?
Then you must get the Close to My Heart
 Cricut Artiste Cartridge!

Close to My Heart has two of
"THE BEST" Cricut Cartridges on the market.
Both cartridges have 700 images each with a variety of shapes, from basic shapes to 3-D projects and fonts!
The best part is how these cuts coordinate with our stamp sets!  Each Cricut Collection comes with 3 stamp sets
specifically designed to coordinate with images on that cartridge.   There are many additional stamp sets in our Idea Book that have been designed to coordinate with each of our  cartridges
( just look for the images circled in red).
Are you ready to go play with your Cricut now!
Maybe you don't have our cartridges yet?  Just click here
to get it right away!
Want to know how you can get yours at half price?
Just contact me to book a party, home gathering, or workshop!

I made these cute little purses for the gals in
my unit for our "Girl's Day Crop".
The directions are on page 41 of the Artiste manual
and they were cut at 5".  The pocket is also cut at 5",
then folded and glued.  Everyone received a
mini stamp set and embellishments in their little purses.
The flower was also cut on the Cricut and stamped with the coordinating stamp from the Girls Rock Stamp Set (C1538).

Happy Creating!

An Album for Baby Collin!

I just finished this album for a special baby boy.
I used the My Creations Display Album
( now retired) from Close to My Heart.
I bought several of these as I just love making these albums,
and wanted some to keep on hand.
The papers came from some I purchased several years ago
when a local store closed it's doors.
They worked perfectly for this album,
and matched our  current cardstock perfectly!

The album has twelve sleeves, so using both sides give twenty-four layouts for pictures.

Here are the pictures of the layouts.  This album is 6"x 6".

Sharon's Creative Studio

I have been asked many times to post
 what my studio looks like
and how I organize my supplies, so here it is.
I am a stand up scrapper, so this is my work area.
In the backround you can see
the cabinets my great and talented husband made for me.
They run along both sides of our room.
These cabinets that you are looking at here
keep our family games, office supplies,
painting supplies (I also like to paint),
and the center two cupboards house all my gift wrap supplies
and two pull out drawers of ribbons.

We have a large C-Shaped desk at the back of the room.
My husband has the back half of the area,
and mine starts at the computer and is the front area.
This is the area for my bookkeeping and office items.
He cleaned his area up this last week,
so I figured I better get a picture quick!
I can sit 10-12 at my workshops.
I have an area for display on the top of my cabinets
for layouts, cards and misc. items.

As you move down the wall, you can see more storage.

Behind the doors on the left
is room for class workshop supplies.
I like to have everything on hand,
then I replace it when they are purchased.
The center area has pull out drawers for my chipboard pieces, ribbons, punches, stamp sets, card packets, and misc.

Behind the last set of double doors
are my solid sheets of cardstock,
and misc. papers from other vendors.
On the right is misc. cardstock (full packs),
 albums, and misc. supplies.
The black boxes hold my pictures ready for scrapping.
The clear boxes hold current paper packs,
 along with coordinating items.
This makes it so handy to just pull the one out
and have most everything in the box ready to go.
These are exchanged out every time we get a new catalog.
At the far end are my Work in Progress albums,
with several being worked on at a time.
I have seven full of layouts, some with pictures and some without.  My cuttlebug and cricut supplies also live here.

I love my paper holders.
This is where I store new items,
along with old favorites I haven't used up yet and are partly cut out or put together
for layouts before they go into my Work in Progress albums.

Here are some of my finished albums
and a close up of the misc. stuff.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of my studio.
This is really where I live.
What isn't shown is the large L-shaped sofa
and TV at this end of the room.
This is where my hubby and I hang out.
Time flies when I'm playing and getting ready for classes.
If you would like any more information, just let me know.

I invite you to please leave a comment below
or sign up to follow me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Creating!

The two cards above were made using the
Buzz & Bumble Paper Packet and Bee Happy stamp set.
We were learning how to shade with the alcohol markers.
Also, notice on the top card that the leaves
were cut using an exacto knife, then lifting
and rolling the leaf to reveal some of the striped paper below.
